Texte: Am I correct in reading the page cited in inferring that Cora Lucy Piedlow and Margery Ann Piedlow were full sisters? When I was a child, I knew Margery well, and she died in our house in Aurora, IL, in a room close to mine. When I, in my childish way, would ask how Margery and I were related, I was told that she was my great half aunt. I don't know much about the details of naming the
relationships, but I would have thought that the "half" implied having only one parent in common, as in half-sister. Maybe what I was told was wrong, as I don't think my parents were genealogical experts any more than I.

Margery Ann Piedlow, your page indicates, married Edward Bessette. That marriage produced three sons. I would have hope to tell you all their names, but the Bessette boys all married and I knew them. One of them had a spouse nameed Kate. The one I remember best, Irving, married Francis ______, and lived in Plainfield, IL. They had a son, Lowell Bessette, who was living in Plainfield and had a listed phone as of a year or two ago. Lowell, a childhood playmate of mine, was a few years older than me. I had a falling out with him while we were teenagers, and did not maintain contact with him. His dad, Irving, was a wonderful man, and maybe I held that as the standard for Lowell, perhaps a bit unfairly.

grandmother; I have her photograph. Cora died two years after giving birth to my father, James Frame Paterson. James Frame Paterson married Alma Rose Lund, who gave birth to me, William Lund Paterson, in 1934.
