Note: Pearl R. Gehring, 93, a longtime resident of Superior's East End area, died
Monday, Oct 18, 1999, in St. Francis Home in the Park. She was a longtime
member of St. Francis Zavier Catholic Church, the last charter member of the
American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Pocahontas Club and a member of
the former Memorial Hospital Auxilliary. She is survived by a sister-in-law,
Roberta Papineau, Superior; one nephew, Duane (Mary) Papineau, South Range;
nieces Karen (Joe) Ashbeck, Neenah, and Terry (Tom) Soderlund, Waupaca;
several grandnewphews, grandnieces, great grandnephesws and great
grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her husban, Henry Gehring; three
brothers, Medric, Joseph and George Papineau; a sister, Alice Papineau; her
parents, George and Mary Papineau; and a niece, Bonnie Rae Apple. Visitation
begins at 5 pm Wednesday with a Scripture service at 6:30 pm at
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for
10:30 am Thursday in St. Francis Zavier Catholic Church with the Rev. James
Tobolski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery in
Blueberry. Pallbearers will be George and Pete LaValley, George Derosia,
Paul Olson, David Typpo and Charles Nelson.
NOTE: I am not sure of the relationship of George Derosia, but all others
are LaValleys. G.
