Sabourn, Elizabeth (b. ABT 1864, d. ABT 1907)Note: Exert from an email I received from Robert Allen Gourlay on 7-28-1999.
" Andrew Taylor ( my grandfather) was apparently the, get this, the bastard son of one Elizabeth Taylor. As you know he went on to marry Elizabeth Sabourne. Now Elizabeth Taylor then married a Tom Foster. They begat 3 sons ( Tom, John, & Walter) and one daughter (Barbara). Barbie went on to marry a Mr. Graham (first name unknown) and they begat a daughter named Bunty. My mother often referred to her but I can't remember why. Bunty had 2 sons (names unknown). I don't even know if Bunty was her real name but that was all my Ma ever called her."[gallowaf.ged]
Elizabeth had some cousins named Mowrer. Therefore it is assumed she may have had a brother or sister

George had a female cousin, Nan Galloway, who was blinded accidentally as a young girl. She never married and lived in Kirkcaldy.
George met Barbara Ellen Taylor a the linen factory where they both worked (he was an apprentice mechanic and she was a weaver).
In 1926 there was a "general strike" in Great Britain and most people walked off their jobs. George and his family ran out of money. His uncle and aunt, Bob and Margaret Kilpatrick, lent him 50 pounds to come to Amerca. George left Scotland
(alone) in 1924 and emigrated to Canada.
Later, Barbara, the 3 oldest children, and Jenny and Will Gourlay emigrated to Canada. The 2 families lived together in order to save enough money to emigrate to the US. (Jenny and Will were never allowed to emigrate because of their
crippled daughter, May.)
George entered the US illegaly by posing as a membe of a group of picnicers returning from Canada for the day. He worked in Chicago (living with the Parks family - i.e., Mary (May) Parks McKeown). It's been told that William Gourlay (George's
brother-in-law) actaully got tired of waiting for him to return to Canada and to his family obligations. So he (Will) came to the US to get him and return him to his family!
George's social security #340-05-3259. He died of congestive heart failure due to pneumonia.
