Note: Sources:
1. At the archives in Ottawa it has the marriage certificates of the majority of Papineau marriages in the province of Québec on microfilm.
2. I used the Drouin collection. This is a collection of books by a priest named Drouin, he gathered all the marriage certificates in the province of Québec and published a book that cross-referenced male and female spouses. More in-depth than the microfilm.
3. This one was for the older dates, I used a 7 book series, I can't remember the name exactly, but it had the first couple of generations of each french Canadian families, some records had birth, marriage and death, some only had 1 of the three.

Hi
I have been building my family tree on Genes Reunited and was directed to your site by another GR member. My mum's sister, Irene (who is still alive and turned 90 on 27/12/08), married Walter Newton Papineau in 1942, hence my interest in the Papineau family.
Having just looked at Derik Austin website, I have made some very exciting discoveries, confirmed a lot of what I already had on my tree, can fill in some of the gaps you have and, so far, found one piece of incorrect information.
I've only checked a small part of your website and anticipate finding more gaps I can fill, so I'll send you those at a later date if you would like them. The incorrect bit copied from the site below (with a gap filled in for you in blue):
Papineau, Kenneth Michael Campbell
b. 1857 ? (birth registered Sep qtr 1857, W.Ham district of London)
d. 1909 Dunbar, Australia
Gender: Male
Parents:
Father: Papineau, William P.
Mother: Campbell, Harriet
Family:
Marriage: 7 OCT 1869 ?
Spouse: Wales, Elizabeth Mary Ann
d. 1921
Gender: Female
There was indeed an Elizabeth Mary Ann who married into the Papineau family, but her surname was Watts, not Wales, and she married Rossall William, Kenneth's brother, in 1869. I have confirmed this information from birth/marriage/death records and Census records here in UK. If you look at the info you have on your site, Kenneth would only have been 12 in 1969 when the marriage took place, so is obviously incorrect.
Your thoughts on this would be very much appreciated as I feel we could possibly be very useful to each other.
Kind regards
Maggie Aldous
