Worked 49 years with Manitoba Pool Elevators of Winnipeg and X-Can Grain (last 2 years)
Started as an office boy August 1, 1928, working in progressively more important positions until he moved to X-Can in 1975. Retired in 1977.
Was treasurer of the Pool Credit Union for 25 years approx., as well assisting in organizing credit unions throughout southern Manitoba. Also active with the Red River Co-Operative.

Was a life member of Fidelity Masonic Lodge No. 146, A.F. and A.M., Past District Deputy Grand Master of District 11,
Member of the United Commercial Travellers,
Secretary of the Travellers Curling Club for 45 years,
Life member of the Winnipeg Philatelic Society (stamps),
Member of the North Star No. 2
I.O.O.F. and Olive Branch Rebeckah Lodge No. 1.

Vacationed at Grand Beach for approx. 57 years.

Passed January 21, 1949, and raised February 21, 1949
Was Master in 1958
Served as D.D.G.M.in 1963/64
Was well known in lodges throughout Winnipeg and Manitoba

Buried in Chapel Lawn Cemetary, Winnipeg.

Texte: From all my research, I believe we have clarified Robert Swetozar Papineau's parents as being Kenneth and Elizabeth, and not Rossall and Sarah. This has been confirmed in papers I have received on the Hollon/Butterfield families (from which Timothy Barron is related, and who are also related to the Papineau's, in a branch of ancesters one prior to Robert Swetozar).
